About Jennifer Samson

Jennifer Samson is a real estate, PropTech, and change management leader. She has successfully developed and managed over $150 million in catalytic urban real estate projects spanning affordable housing, park development, public right of way infrastructure, and public art installations. Jennifer is experienced in placemaking, the nexus of built and open space development, and community engagement. Jen recently joined the PropTech start-up, Curbio ($100 million in venture backing to date), as the VP of Customer Success responsible for leading the project delivery of the organization.

Jennifer has been a practitioner of responsible real estate development for the last decade. Prior to joining Curbio, she headed the Customer Relations team at MADE Renovation responsible for delivering VIP and project turn-arounds. Before joining MADE, she was the Southern California Regional Manager for the social finance enterprise Landed, helping increase homeownership rates for teachers, healthcare workers, and local government employees.

Before her transition into PropTech, she served as the Director of Real Estate and Finance for River LA, where she managed 20+ consultant service providers alongside an internal team to deliver over $20 million in river-adjacent catalytic developments. This included the Los Angeles River’s first mobile, “pop up” park or Rio Vista that leveraged a $1 million grant from Disney Co. to construct three permanent Rio Vistas. It also included fundraising over $9 million to construct LA’s first pedestrian/cyclist/equestrian cable-stayed river bridge. Jennifer oversaw design completion and secured entitlements from over 12 government agencies and the bridge began construction in 2018.
Prior to seven years in river revitalization, Jennifer worked in affordable housing development. She held the title of real estate project manager at both Thomas Safran & Associates and Livable Places, where she managed and assisted in the development of multiple transit-oriented, affordable housing projects for local residents. She is experienced in acquisition, preconstruction and construction, financial structuring, tax credit financing, leasing and sales, and management.
Jennifer lives with her wife and kids in South Los Angeles.
